LATESTNEWS Interim boss looks to galvanise squad
LATESTNEWS Chairman leads tributes to departing boss Club Chairman Garry Williams has paid tribute to outgoing manager Matt Driscoll. “We all know that results haven’t been what any of us would have wished for so far this season, including Matt, but saying that he had a huge issue to deal with in regards to player availability. Nobody can question the commitment, efforts and passion that Matt showed and put into Aberdare Town every day.  When he informed me of his decision to step down you could see how disappointed he was”.

We have dedicated teams for both boys and girls at various ages and it is our hope that by continual building will eventually have teams at every age. Our girls section is rapidly expanding and is now the biggest in the Valley. In youth football we have teams playing in the Aberdare Valley Mini & Junior Football Leagues, the Aberdare Rhonda Junior League and the South Wales Womens and Girls Football League. We are always looking fore more players and more details are available on this site.
OURHISTORY The histories of Aberdare Town and Aberaman Athletic, clubs separately formed in 1892, have been intertwined for over 90 years. In the early years, Aberdare were the most successful, dominating the then Glamorgan leagues and in the new domestic format, winning the Welsh League in its inaugural season of 1905 with further success in 1909, 1912 and 1921. We were also finalists in the Welsh Cup on three occasions during that period.
